I was doing a little embroidery on a piece of scrap material.
I was looking to making a crazy quilt someday with different free hand embroidery.
I liked this on so much I decided to frame it.

I have always wanted to be an artist.
I found this at a thrift store I love roses.
I thought some day I might try to copy it.
I need to look for some frames for these they will look much better in a frame.
This is a paint by number I did.
I like it and from far away it does not look like a paint by number painting.

Then I took a oil painting class.
There were 12 people there and we learned to paint by coping a painting the instructor had done. There were 12 different paintings. All looking like the painting the instructor had done.
But each person had their own idea of the painting so all were very different.
It was a very interesting class.
I really can't believe I did this so I got my moneys worth from the class.

I think I am on my 20th pair of socks. I am running out of yarn. I can't keep up they wear them out as fast as I make them. I guess I should make them from steel.
I also made sweaters for all the puppies. We had two more litters with 12 puppies in all.
I am working on a sweater for Willona but I don't like it and might tear it all out and start again. The body is to small and the sleeves are to big.
It is still snowing if it ever stops I am thinking about planting a garden.
We went to Yakima for Hannah's Detist appointment.
You never know what you will find any more.
We stopped for a coffee and across the street was this guy advertising for a Tax place.
But what cause Willona to suck in air and say well I never, I never and she just set there with her eyes bugged out. I had to order the coffee and I asked the girl if I could take her photo.
She said Honey we don't do pictures.
But I did anyway.
I heard they were serving coffee this way but I had never seen one.
Now I have.
The coffee was very good and the price was right.
I guess if you have a butt like this you can show it off.

I have been making socks, dog sweaters and now I am fixing a sweater I made for Jonah last winter the sleeves were to long so I am shortening them and the neck just did not look right so I cut it of and am redoing it. The photo does not look so good (bad camera) but the sweater is a good looking sweater in real life.

Here is the biggest puppy.

What a cute face.

Finally after all these years I learned to wind a ball of yarn so that it can be taken from the middle. I wound it around my cane. I had to attach something to the end so I could find the end again but it worked very good.

I have been busy making socks, I made these 5 for me and have yarn for 2 more pair.
The first pair is from some old 1960's yarn I found.
I made Willona 4 pair, Hannah 2 pair and Isaac 2 pair. They are going much faster once I figured out the pattern. The weather has been warmer than usual 52 degrees today.
Strange after the storm we had last month.

I finally got some items posted for sale here. I only have the baby sweaters list now but will add more when I can. I have over 50 items to list.
Now that I got the sock thing down I have been making many socks. I finally learn to work with out the little stoppers on the ends of my needles. I have to get the pattern into my long term memory and we all need socks.

Lizzy had her babies on Jan 2 no white ones, we have 4 boys and 1 very little girl who is to weak to nurse so Willona is feeding her with a eye dropper.

Willona reminds me of my mom she does all she can until the animal either lives or dies. Mom many times had a box by her bed with some animal someone brought to her to save. Many of the animals lived some died and we buried them in the pet grave yard in the back.

I remember sitting in front of the oven, with Mom, with a bunch of baby rabbits that their mother rejected. The oven to keep them warm in their cotton beds and us to feed them and hold them to keep them alive.

I got a photo of

Cactus who is almost 15 and still plays like a kitten. He is my pal he thinks he has to take care of me and stays by me most of the time.

Larry, Gary, Love, Martin I call him Love. He is Isaac's cat and Isaac could not make up his mind what he wanted to call him. Love answers to all his names. We got him because Cactus was our only cat at the time and he could not keep up with the mice that we had in our new farm house that had stayed empty for several years and the mice thought it was theirs.

Jennifer who moved in with us after someone tossed her out. She is a very good mouser. With her we finally got our mouse population down.

This sock making has been a real challenge to me.
After making 3 very funny looking socks and 3 others getting the size correct I finally got a pair that looks like sock. They are really hunter green but came out lighter here.
Everyone else spent the day making pies. Since Paul can't work today he helped the kids make pumpkin and apple pies. It was still snowing today.

I have been knitting for years but tried socks once or twice and never could get the hang of the 4 needles. I decided this year I am going to learn to knit socks.

I started my first today I had to put some little feet on the ends of my needles to keep every thing from falling off while knitting on another needle.

Yesterday the dishwasher broke down, it is the first one we have had and with a family as big as ours it has been a big help. It sure is a good thing Paul knows all kinds of things and can fix just about any thing so he had it working again by evening.

I found a pretty scarf pattern and started knitting it.

It is very easy. Using Number 9 needles cast on 31 or the width you want.

Row 1 knit 1 purl 1 across

Row 2 purl 1 knit 1 purl across to last two knit 1 purl 1.

Repeat these two rows until the desired length bind off.

You can add a fringe if you like.

I crochet a baby blanket for my new grandson just in time for winter. He was born in June but my carpal tunel was so bad I could not finish it then. After a rest and probably the pain pills for my back I was able to finish it.
